On the hunt for his brothers, Bobcat has arrived in Metropolis. He sits on the grass in Centennial park thinking.
He wonders "How... how did it get to this place? How could Isaac think this of me? Can I even fix this broken bond?" Something has caught his attention mid thought. A faint noise in the bushes. He gets up and sniffs the air, when all of a sudden he is bombarded with troops.
They surround him. One shoots his rifle, but Bobcat catches is. He looks at it in his hand, a tranquilizer? "You think you can put me to sleep?! Idiots! They shoot three in his back as he jumps over their heads and runs. Bobcat is unaffected by the tranquilizer as he takes two more to the leg. He is stopped by a wall of troops shooting spinning discs in the air. They release close to 30 tranquilizers.
Bobcat can not withstand the effects and blacks out. He awakens in a cage. Outside of it...the president who is surrounded by at least a dozen members of his secret service. "This is just insulting!" Bobcat says as he bends the bars and steps out. All of the secret services guns are drawn.
"Please, Bobcat we need your help." The president pleas.
"You're telling me you send your army guys to capture, the ask me for a favor? No thank you." Bobcat says as he walk away.
"Travis, this about your brother!"
Travis stops and turns around quickly while he advances towards the president. "How do you know who I am!?"
"I have some advantages of being president" he says with a grin.
"What about my brother then?"
The president starts walking out of the room and Bobcat follows.
"Ape, I believe you call him, has been spotted with the villain known as Gorilla Grodd and we believe he's been helping him prepare." The president says.
"Prepare for what?" Bobcat frustratingly questions.
"We're unsure of it. But knowing Grodd it could be cataclysmic."
The president gets to the end of the hallway and opens the door. A room full of holograms, screens, weapons and more are in front of Bobcats face.
"We need you to go to Grodds base in Africa and try to confront them before they get here. You will be accompanied by the Flash, but first we will equip you with things you might need."
The president walks to a table and presses a button the brings up glass compartments containing items.
"Zero Gravity boots, they will allows you to glide as if you were flying and allow you to walk on water." He hands them to Bobcat.
"Grapple line cufflinks, they equip by your hands to allow you to travel faster." Bobcat grabs them from the glass case.
"And lastly, a sword. Crafted from a rare metal that is harder than diamonds. It is absolutely indestructible. "
The president holds it out towards Bobcat. Bobcat slashes the sword with his claws and both pieces fall to the ground.The president looks in awe, he looks at Bobcat and says, "You truly are an animal. Put on your equipment and we'll teleport you to the rally point with the Flash." Bobcat nods and walks away.
The president calls out, "You will be our greatest hero yet!"
Bobcat says under his breath, "I'm no hero."
